Born in Tehran in 1933, Nasrolla Afjehei received his first degree from the Iranian Calligraphists Association then taught in Tehran schools and universities from 1997 to 2004. He was granted the First Degree Art Certificate from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Afjehei has held numerous international exhibitions such as ‘Kanisormer’, France, held by UNESCO (1977); ‘The World Traditional Painters’ in City Exhibitions Organization Building, Bologna (1976); ‘Iranian Masters Group Exhibition’, in Los Angeles. He has had several solo shows in Iran and a solo exhibition in Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art as a rewarded artist in Second International Painting Biennale in Tehran (1993). Finally, Afjehei has held three international solo exhibition in Dubai, USA and Santa Monica. He has recently completed the publication of a collection of artworks which he has been creating over the past thirty-six years.
