Born in 1977, Isa Ho is a multi-awarded contemporary artist from Taiwan. She graduated Bachelor's of Fine Arts in painting from the National Institute of the Arts in Taipei in 2001 and completed her M.F.A. in the same institution in 2005. She did her residency in Cité International des Arts in Paris from 2009 and 2010 and in the International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York from 2013 to 2015. Ho was awarded the Taiwan Young Art Award (2008); Kaohsiung Art Award (2011); and ISE Cultural Foundation Award (2013). She received nominations for Taipei Art Award (2005), Asia Pioneer Photographer (2012); and Prix Pictet (2012). She was also the recipient of the Asian Cultural Council grant for 2012. She exhibited extensively in her native Taiwan and abroad. Most recently was her solo show “Westbeth – Isa Ho/Moritz Partenheimer” in VT Artsalon, Taiwan in 2014. Her works are housed in prestigious private and public collections like the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung, the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts in Taipei, Hong-Gah Museum in Taipei, White Rabbit Gallery in Sydney and the Gwangju Museum of Art in South Korea. Isa Ho lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan.
