Born in Innsbruck Austria in 1943, Helmut Zwerger is a self-taught artist and musician. A doctor by profession, he received his degree in medical sciences in 1975 specialising in dentistry. He opened his practice in 1978 with great success. He later left his practice to pursue his art and music, producing works that are inspired by pop-art and jazz music. Notable works include his pop-art rendition of popular landmarks and famous personalities. He has exhibited widely in Europe and the United States including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Minsk, Russia.
