Faramarz Pilaram

(1938 - 1983) Born in Tehran in 1938, Pilaram received a Diploma in painting from Tehran’s High School of Fine Arts. He then studied Interior Design at the College of Decorative Arts. Like the majority of his Iranian contemporaries, he went abroad to study in France for a year in 1970. He participated in the Venice Biennale in 1962, winning a Silver medal. He participated in Tehran’s Biennale in 1964 and 1966. Pilaram has had solo exhibitions in Tehran. Internationally, Pilaram has shown at a gallery in Paris. His works can be found in the permanent collections of the Jahan-Nama Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Faramarz Pilaram passed away in 1983.
