Kurono Tokyo is a project of Hajime Asaoka, an AHCI member, independent watchmaker and widely recognised as one of the world's top-ranked independent watchmakers. Starting his watchmaking journey in 1997, Hajime Asaoka is known for his unique perspective of refinement and modernity and a watchmaking philosophy that is distinctively Japanese. The brand was born out his desire to deliver his watches to a broader audience at a more affordable price point than those available under his namesake brand.
