Born in 1976 in Hyderabad, Pakistan, Ahmed received a Bachelor’s degree in Miniature Painting from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2000. Since then his works have been featured in several solo exhibitions, including at Gowen Contemporary, Geneva, in 2013; Canvas Gallery, Karachi, in 2011; Khaas Art Gallery, Islamabad, in 2011; Laurent Delaye Gallery, London, 2010; Clifton Art Gallery, Karachi, in 2010, 2007 and 2005; IVS Gallery, Karachi, in 2009; Chawkandi Art, Karachi, in 2009 and 2004; and Anant Art Gallery, New Delhi, in 2008. His works have also been included in many group exhibitions in Pakistan and abroad, and can be found in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Museum fur Asiatische Kunst, Staatliche Museen, Berlin, and the British Museum, London.
