Born in the United Arab Emirates, she is the first female digital artist in the region and had exhibited both at the national and international art scene. She is known for her manipulation of seemingly boring and normal photographs into masterpieces of emotion and sensuality. She has exhibited at the "Emirati Vision" in Berlin in 2009 and has participated in several workshops and often gives lecture to art students. Al Suwaidi is the curator of "Ramadan Art Bazaar", an annual art exhibition of affordable works and was also the project manager and curator of "Lights in Harmony", an emirati photography competition in 2009. She was one of the judges in the "Al-Mutahida" art competition for university students on a national scale. Sumayyah is also writing and contributing in various magazines and newspapers locally and internationally.
