(b. 1967) Pham Hong Son was born in 1967, in the Thai Nguyen Province. He graduated from the Children School of Fine Art in 1976 and completed his degree in painting in the Hanoi Fine Arts University in 1992. He currently lectures at his alma mater and is an active member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and the Hanoi Fine Arts Association. He uses a predominantly white background to accentuate the interplay between heaven and earth and the simplicity and coarseness of nature. Notable exhibitions include First National Student Exhibition of Art (1992); The National Fine Art Exhibition of Vietnam (1995); Solo Exhibition at Hanoi Exhibition House (1999); Exhibition in Washington D.C, US (2000); HKFINEART Gallery in Hong Kong (2008); National Fine Arts Exhibition (2010); and 'At the Hindsight', Green Palm Gallery, Hanoi (2016). His paintings are included in several private collections in Vietnam and abroad.
