(b. 1974)
Born in 1974, Chatchawan Rodklongtan graduate from Rajamagala Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Arts in Painting in 1992 and completed his Masters of Art at the same university in 1994. As a devout Buddhist, the temple murals that he often explores in his youth influenced Chatchawan’s works. However, despite his philosophical concepts and his painting’s detail intricacy, his works evoke a sense of tranquility. He exhibited from 1990 until 2008 in Asia and the US. Key solo exhibitions include “Light in an Atmosphere of Faith” Exhibition, River City, Thailand (2003); “ Study in Light” Exhibition at the Carpediem Galleria, Thailand (2006); and “The Moral Precept” Exhibition at Number One Gallery, Silom (2008). Chatchawan lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand.
