Born in Beirut in 1943, Assadour Bezdikian left Lebanon at eighteen to study in Italy. He studied at the Pietro Vanucci Academy in Perugia in the summers from 1962 to 1964, and then in 1964 studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Since 1968 he has participated in exhibitions around the world, including shows at the Galarie La Pochade in Paris in 1974. At the Galleria L’Arco in Rome in 1980, at the Galerie Vivant in Tokyo in 1983, Keum San Gallery in Seoul, South Korea in 2003, and the Sursock Museum in Beirut. Assadour had a retrospective at the Museum Bochum in Germany in 1995 and now resides in Paris.
