Mohammed Ehsai

(b. 1939) Born in 1939 in Iran, Ehsai studied at the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran where he then became a calligraphy instructor . He first exhibited in 1973 at a gallery in Tehran. In France, Ehsai had a solo show in 1975 at a Paris gallery; he was also awarded a prize at the Cagnes-sur-Mer International Painting Festival in 1976. He took part in the Basel International Art Fair from 1976 to 1978. In 1978 Ehsai designed the conference hall of the Ellahiat Faculty in Iran. His works are in the permanent collection of Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Art and Museum of Fine Arts. Today, Ehsai lives and works in Tehran.
